Elliott Phillips

Elliott Phillips serves as the Vice President of Sales for Checkpoint Surgical. He is an accomplished head of sales and medical device industry expert with over two decades of repeated successes. With personal and hands-on involvement in over 25 new product development and commercial launches, Elliott has launched FDA 510(k), Denovo, Combination, Class I, II, & III Medical Devices, as well as 361 HCT/P, BLA, and Regenerative Medicine Products.

Elliott is widely regarded as an expert in go-to-market strategy, commercial product launch, sales structure, leading direct, distributor, and hybrid sales teams to scale, and sales channel development. Throughout his career, Elliott has demonstrated a knack for building, developing, and scaling exceptionally high-performing commercial teams across various organizational stages, from bootstrapped startups to Series A, B, M&A, PE-backed, and public companies.

Elliott’s professional journey started at the early age of 5 when he went door-to-door selling light bulbs and now includes Senior Vice President and National Sales Director roles in high growth biotech start-ups like Imbed Biosciences, Sanara MedTech, and NuTech Medical. Elliott also spent significant time in leadership roles at global organizations with industry leaders Organogenesis and Zimmer Biomet. Immediately after finishing business school, Elliott was an entrepreneur building his own sales and distribution organization to over 300 representatives covering 13 states - a group of companies that he eventually sold prior to beginning sales leadership roles at Biomet and eventually Zimmer Biomet.

Elliott holds an MBA from the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University with an emphasis in Finance and Corporate Strategy as well as two undergraduate degrees in Marketing and Economics.
