In addition to supportive constraint and nerve preservation, the Checkpoint Edge forceps are designed to empower surgeon independence. The head design permits a secure, single-handed hold that both grasps the sacrificial nerve zone to allow tensioning and gently constrains the nerve to be preserved. The cutting slot facilitates a right-angle cut with the other hand. Surgeon control of placement, tension, and transection reduces variability, fascilitating reliable, consistent nerve tissue preparation for aligned coaptation.
An integrated sizing guide measures minimum and maximum nerve diameters.
The preserved side of the multi-purpose head maintains circumferential support of the nerve.
The sacrificial side of the multi-purpose head holds the sacrificial nerve zone.
Cutting slot guides standard blades (≤1 mm thick). Yellow stripes indicate the sacrificial nerve zone.
Each kit contains (3) forceps, (2) blades and (1) microsurgical background.
