Brief Electrical Stimulation for Nerve Regeneration
Electrical stimulation as a therapy for peripheral nerve healing has shown promising results in both animal and human trials in accelerating axon regrowth during the healing process.1-8 This increased axon growth improves both the rate of healing and overall functional recovery of a damaged nerve. Checkpoint Surgical is actively working with our clinical partners to advance our understanding of Brief Electrical Stimulation (BES) therapy and its possible applications in clinical practice.
