Len Cosentino
Len Cosentino is the Founder and Executive Advisor to Checkpoint Surgical. He served as President & CEO from the company's founding in 2009 until July of 2022. Len was recognized as Dealmaker of the Year by the Smart Business Dealmakers in 2022 and as a Rising Star by Smart Business Magazine in 2013. Prior to founding Checkpoint Surgical, from 2006 to 2009, Len served as Vice President of Business Development and General Counsel with NDI Medical, a medical device development company where the Checkpoint technology was originally developed.
From 1987 through 2006, Len practiced corporate law with the law firms of Jones Day and McDonald Hopkins, assisting public and private companies, venture capital firms, and entrepreneurs with complex transactions and general business counsel, and as General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer for an insurance services firm. Len is a graduate of Grove City College and Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
Presently Len serves as a director for the NDI Healthcare Fund and Scranton Road Ministries CDC, and as an advisor to Biolectrics, LLC, an early stage dental device company. Past board positions include SPR Therapeutics, LLC, Ocean Energy Systems, LLC, and Bettcher Industries, Inc.
